HSBC Mobile Banking App: A Case Study

A the time of this case study, the HSBC Mobile Banking app falls short of being user friendly. Compared to its competitors it feels dated, cluttered with menu options, and transactions in a user’s accounts are difficult to distinguish between debited and credited amounts (see screens below).

My goal in this study is to improve on the experience of using HSBC’s banking app. From reorganizing and prioritizing important app features to clear and concise information design in reading transactions.
